Congratulations to Austin, he completed the Boston Marathon in a personal best time of 3:42. Check out the splits that were available via the internet. Bib 21392
He survived the 15mph headwinds and intermittent rain along the entire route. Give him a call and congratulate him@
Everybody help Austin Baidas raise money as he runs the 2007 Boston Marathon. The famous event takes place on April 16th. All of the proceeds are going to support Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Click HERE to sign up and give. He needs to raise $10,000. As of my writing he is almost 10% along with only 5 donations! Please give what you can and support a great cause.
Craig and Liz Charlton (cousins) are making big progress on their wonderful restaurant! From the www.trattoria225.com website:
“We finally received approval on Thursday, January 18th from the Village of Oak Park Department of Building Standards to begin construction. Our General Contractor has been chosen and we are in final negotiations with our sub-contractors to begin work. After the time spent waiting for permits, we are thrilled to begin construction!”
We will keep everyone updated on the progress and the date of the premier event!
Wes Waterston recently got engaged to Carrie and they have the wedding planned for 7.07.07. It is sure to be a lucky day! Maybe they will share the engagement story with us? It is sure to be a great party. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Since Hank is 2 1/2 you would think that it was more likely for us to take him to the ER, however my stupidity with a wood chisel started a 6 hour adventure! As soon as I cut my left thumb I knew that I would need stitches, but I did not know that It would take that long. We got to Lawrence and Memorial hospital at 12:30, and waited for about 5 minutes to check-in. It then took 1 hour to enter “triage” where they took my blood soaked paper towel ans switched it to gauze. After that 5 minute affair, I waited for 5 minutes and completed registration. Then the fun began. 3.5 hours later we were called back. Then we waited for 30 minuted for the x-ray tech. Then waited 30 minutes for the Dr. to stitch. He did a great job. As we were being discharged I even had the nurse remove a splinter from my palm.
5 stitches, 1 prescription, 6 hours and we are done.
We all survived staying up until midnight. Hank finally has recovered. We celebrated at the Griffith’s house with great music from “Chasing Baxter” of former “NameMyCoverBand.com” fame. Check out photos from the event.
Waterston.org has an entirely new look. Expect more changes, but the current site is based on Wordpress and Gallery2. I will share some of the tips and problems that I encountered during the upgrade.
